A Little This, A Little That

What's happening? This is my first Blog for the site. Just wanted to give you guys an inside look at what I've been up to this summer! Enjoy!

*On Your Mark*
After a decent year of competition considering the Achilles Tendon injury, I decided to go back to square one. In Mid-July I began my endurance training. Going back to building my base and applying the speed later on.

*Weight Training*
Currently, my lifting schedule is as follows: Monday-Wednesday, and Friday (Thursday is active Recovery). My lifting regime has changed as well and seems to be paying off by the results and lifted strength level! I do circuit-type training and quick bursts are a must! Really going to help improve my start for shorter events and increase my explosiveness (fast twitch muscles).

*Whats Next?*
Well, right now I'm currently assisting my collegiate and current coach (Danny Williamson) at Western Carolina University! I work with both sprints and relays. I will train there for one more year under Danny's direction, then I will make the big move..... Where? I DON'T KNOW, but I do know that this WILL BE me final year in Cullowhee, North Carolina.

*Finish Line*
I am hoping for a great year this year! Doing whatever it takes to be the best in all that I do! No shortcuts. Going to continue the shorts sprints and keep my training as if I were a 200-400 runner! God has a plan, and I am ready for it!
